Physical Location Access Project in South Huron

South Huron was successful in an application 2025 Accessibility: Supporting Local Economic Development (AccessSLED) Program - a program provided in collaboration with Huron County Economic Development and the Huron County Accessibility Advisory Committee (HCAAC).

The physical location access project includes the following two components:

• Entrance window cling, with appropriate contrast and text sizing, containing business contact information for those who need assistance accessing the location or service. The window cling will read “Need assistance accessing this location? Please call us at: XXX-XXX-XXXX". This component is limited to 30 locations on a first come, first serve basis. 
   
• High-contrast yellow paint for increased visibility of exterior main entrance steps and/or uneven surfaces for all businesses within South Huron. This component is available for all requested locations in South Huron. 

Deadline for applying for both components of the project is Friday July 18, 2025 at 4:30PM.
